2021 Bronco Sport

Enjoy the great outdoors with the all-new 2021 Bronco Sport. This slimmed down SUV in the Bronco family is still a big-time four-door performer on and off the road. With a standard 4x4 system, off-road suspension, seven G.O.A.T. modes, and 180-degree camera plus Trail Control, you can count on all the capability you need on the path to adventure.

Under the hood, the Bronco Sport has two engine options and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5L EcoBoost engine produces a targeted 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. Or enjoy targeted 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine.

Thoughtfully designed technology and design features abound in the 2021 Bronco Sport. Whether you want to stay connected with SYNC® 3, keep your phone’s battery full with a wireless charging pad, or enjoy every note of your favorite tunes with a B&O® sound system by Bang & Olufsen, the Bronco Sport delivers. A safari-style roof gives you the ability to haul two bikes inside your Bronco Sport, while easy-clean rubberized flooring and rear seatbacks give you peace of mind when it’s time to load up gear, pets, and the crew after a messy day in the woods. And if you need to access your cargo after it’s all loaded, enjoy the convenience of the rear flip-up glass.

Add to the convenience of the Bronco Sport with a full line of dealer-installed accessories designed to customize your vehicle for biking, camping, adventures in the snow, or activities on the water.

1969 Ford Bronco

Return of a Legend

The first Ford Bronco models were created for wild and willful adventuring. Billed as “G.O.A.T.,” this legendary SUV was designed to “go over any terrain.” In 1969, the Bronco won the Baja 1000, a race held on the Baja California peninsula every year since 1967. After a storied 30-year history, the original Ford Bronco ended its run in 1996. The all-new Ford Bronco models being revealed in 2020 will pull from the original design and feature two-door, four-door, and a small Sport model.

  • 1966 - 1977: In 1966, the first Bronco models were introduced to the marketplace. One was an open-air model, one included an enclosed front cabin, and one contained front and rear passengers in a cabin.
  • 1978 - 1979: Key features were used from the F-Series in the second generation of Ford Bronco models, including the front and rear axles. Performance was boosted with an automatic transmission and part-time and full-time 4x4 systems.
  • 1980 - 1986: Fuel economy was boosted in the third generation Ford Bronco when 500 lbs. were taken off the design, among other factors.
  • 1987 - 1991: Generation four brought new powertrain technology, including electronic fuel injection and a five-speed manual transmission.
  • 1992 - 1996: Integral safety features were added in the fifth generation - three-point safety belts for backseat passengers and four-wheel antilock brakes.
