2023 Ford Ranger Engine & Towing
Every 2023 Ford Ranger is powered by a turbocharged EcoBoost® engine paired to a ten-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission. This muscular engine helps you tow up to 7,500 pounds with the Ranger, when properly equipped, and helps enable a maximum payload capacity of over 1,900 pounds so you can bring all your gear along for the ride. Go with rear-wheel drive (RWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) on any trim, and opt for a model with an electronic-locking rear differential if you anticipate driving in tough conditions.

Highlights of this feature package include a raised ride height courtesy of the off-road tuned suspension with FOX® shocks, heavy-duty skid plates to protect the underside of your truck, knobby off-road tires, and tow hooks to get your friends out of a jam. Inside the Ranger with the Tremor Off-Road Package, Ford Trail Control™ allows you to set the speed you want to drive over rough terrain, an off-road display screen shows you key vehicle positioning data, and the Terrain Management System™ with normal, grass/gravel/snow, mud/ruts, and sand modes lets you customize the traction settings to suit the conditions.

Every 2023 Ranger trim is available with a SuperCab and 6-foot box or SuperCrew® cab with a 5-foot box.
